VPN Access Guide

Overview

Visfuture provides secure remote access to company internal networks through an IKEv2 VPN connection. Once connected, you can reach internal servers, file shares, and other resources as if you were physically in the office.

Authentication uses your company domain credentials (Active Directory). If you can log in to your work computer, you already have the credentials you need.

Troubleshooting

Connection failed
Verify that you have a working internet connection. Double-check that your username and password are correct. Confirm that vpn.vfqa.ca resolves by running nslookup vpn.vfqa.ca in a terminal. If the address does not resolve, try switching to a different DNS server (e.g., 8.8.8.8) or contact IT.
Connected but cannot access internal resources
Try disconnecting and reconnecting the VPN. If the problem persists, restart your device and try again. Ensure you are attempting to reach a resource on one of the internal networks (172.20.1.0/24, 172.20.100.0/24, or 172.20.101.0/24). If the issue continues, contact IT.
Forgot my password
Your VPN password is the same as your domain (Active Directory) password. Contact IT to have your domain password reset.
VPN connects but disconnects after a few seconds
This may indicate a certificate trust issue. On Windows, ensure the IKEv2 connection is configured correctly. On macOS, verify that the Remote ID matches vpn.vfqa.ca exactly. If the problem persists, contact IT for assistance.
